Tomatin Distillery have signed up as tournament sponsor for The Fire Fighters Charity’s first Charity Golf Day due to be held at the Macdonald Spey Valley Championship Golf Course in Aviemore on Friday 5th October.

Offering a broad range of health and wellbeing services for fire fighters, the Charity supports thousands of beneficiaries every year and is hoping to raise much needed funds through this first golfing event here in the Highlands.

The event will comprise of a day of golf followed by an evening of fine dining at Macdonald Aviemore Resort, hosted by Patrick Rolink, a regular favourite at comedy festivals and TV shows.

Steven Bassindale, Watch Manager at the Inverness Fire Station, devised the event concept and has led on its development. Speaking about the 2018 event, he said: “We are delighted to have such a fantastic local organization, Tomatin Distillery, sponsoring and supporting our first ever golf day. I’m sure that Tomatin will help us achieve our objective, which is to try and raise vital funds for our Charity.”

Speaking about their sponsorship of the event, Tomatin's Marketing Manager, Jennifer Masson, said: “We are happy to be partnering with The Fire Fighters Charity on this key fundraising event. The Charity provides a wide range of services for our fire fighters, including rehabilitation, nursing and advice and support, among others. We are pleased to be able to help them raise awareness of their care to our local community.”

Entry information: Entry fee to the Tomatin Whisky Highland Challenge is £320 per team of four, which includes a three course gala evening dinner with pre-dinner drinks.
