WE FOOLED YOU, YOU FRISKY DEVIL!
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!
Scotch whisky distillery Tomatin announced today (Sunday 1st April) the release of its limited edition Frisky Whisky liqueur (RRP £69), created using the very best aphrodisiacs from Scotland’s rich larder.
Infused with libido-boosting ingredients including, oyster essence and Scottish oats, this single malt based drink is distilled to get the blood pumping and the heart racing.
Following research conducted last year for the Global Drug Survey, which found 42% of people felt more randy after a nip of the hard stuff, Tomatin have created the sensual whisky to enter into the romantic market.
The 100 limited-edition bottles are made using Tomatin’s 12-Year-Old expression from its core range, with the key ingredients added during the distilling process to boost drinkers' sex drive.
Oats are a key active ingredient making up to 10% of this indulgent dram. Long associated with virility, the extract of green Scottish oat straw frees up testosterone in men and women – a key hormone ensuring wild oats are sown.
The tantric tipple features 3% Scottish oysters – the quintessential aphrodisiac – which are rich in the mineral zinc and vital for the production of sex hormones.
The seductive liquid also features 5% dark chocolate, known for two chemicals – tryptophan, a building block of serotonin and phenylethylamine, a stimulant related to amphetamine, which are released in the brain when people fall in love.
The cheeky whisky is rounded off with heather, an iconic Scottish flower, steeped in the history of the highlands, adding a fragrant note to the palate.
Jennifer Masson, Marketing Manager of Tomatin, said: “We are proud to reveal our limited edition Frisky Whisky, which utilises real science in the creation of what we believe is the world’s first libido enhancing whisky liqueur.
“This sensual spirit is aimed at anyone who enjoys a stiff drink and is interested in adding a little magic to their whisky tasting experience – this unique and amorous dram is sure to put anyone in the mood!”
